Zero-Waste Talk with Jussara LeeTuesday October 22, 2024
6:30 PM
Find out more about living a Zero-Waste life with plastic-free activist Jussara Lee.
Microplastics are found throughout the entire human body: there will be more plastic in the oceans than fish before 2050, less than 6% of plastics are recycled, over 10,000 chemicals are used to produce plastic products, including carcinogens, neurotoxins, endocrine disrupters, some causing infertility and obesity.
If you are new to living plastic-free or zero waste, just looking at the journey ahead of us can seem a little… daunting. On one hand, we’re eager to make changes, and excited to have a positive impact on ourselves and the planet. But what first steps to take?
Jussara Lee is a native Brazilian of Korean heritage and a passionate plastic-free, zero-waste fashion designer.
