Every four years, we get to elect a president. Yet, the electoral process is rarely smooth and without controversy. This series talk will examine some of the more contentious, controversial, and consequential presidential elections in our nation's history.
Week 1- The End of Good Feelings: Adams, Jackson, and the Electoral Crisis of the 1820s
Week 2- The Fate of the Nation: Lincoln, the Union, and the Pivotal Election of 1860
Week 3- The Great Undecided: Hayes, Tilden, and the Disputed Election of 1876
Week 4- The Political Zoo: The Election of 1912
Week 5- The New Frontier: Kennedy, Nixon, and the Election of 1960
