Mt. Lebanon Public Library is bringing back its Jolabokaflod (Icelandic for Christmas Book Flood) festival. In Iceland, Jolabokaflod follows the book retail cycle that culminates in a nationally celebrated Christmas season of book giving to friends and family. We cannot wait to bring back our version of Jolabokaflod at the Mt. Lebanon Public Library. The Friends of Mt. Lebanon Public Library will be holding their annual Holiday Book Sale during the day’s festivities.
Events will be taking place throughout the library. Outside the Castle Shannon Blvd. Entrance, you will find a variety of local artists and crafter stalls selling unique handmade goods. Inside the lower entrance of the library in Room A the Friends Holiday Book Sale will be taking place. In Room B, you can purchase cookies, hot chocolate, and wassail.
