"Twice Told Tales" film series with Janet Roach

Two different films based on the same plot with Academy Award winning screen writer Janet Roach

In the  Lyme Library’s new movie series “Twice Told Tales” we will be exploring two different films that are based on the same plot and screenplay but are created by two different Director’s and leading actors. In the series we will be screening two movies over two weeks with a pot luck dinner after the second movie and a chance to get together and discuss the films.

The film series is hosted by Academy Award winning screen writer Janet Roach.

Popcorn and refreshments will be servered.

Tonight's screening will include a potluck supper with a discussion of the two films in the series at dinner. If possible please bring along some food to share.

Today’s film is :"Silk Stockings" (1957).  Directed by Rouben Mamoulian  with music by Cole Porter. Starring  Cyd Charisse and  Fred Astaire.

The first film in this "Twice Told Tales" series was "Ninotchka" which was shown on September 19th
