COST: $40 per person (materials fee); check or money order, payable to Sewanhaka Power Squadron. No cash. Free for boaters 17 and younger.

This eight-hour course is an introduction to the basic principles of safe boating, and required for all boaters to have by January 1, 2025.
After completion of the course, participants 18 years of age and older will receive an email with instructions to pay the NY State fee of $10 by credit card to receive a permanent boating safety certificate.
Participants 17 years and younger are exempt from this fee. You must be at least 10 years of age to attend this class; those younger than 13 must be accompanied by a parent. Bring a bag lunch.
