Digging Deeper into Our Ancestors' Historical Records: Time and Place
Expanding our genealogical research beyond the names and dates to understand the time and place our ancestors lived will deepen our understanding of their lives. This talk will explore the local resources that will help us expand our research toolbox to find resources that are specific to the location where they lived. Online research is only the beginning. By identifying records from local sources such as libraries, municipal offices, and local archives. new clues can be found. We will spend some time looking at the collections in the Chicopee Library's local history room. If you have wondered what you can find in a historical society or museum, this is the class for you. We will help you make a plan to take the next step.
