This month's selection is The Tempest by William Shakespeare. Prospero, the former Duke of Milan, uses his magical powers to create a violent storm. The King of Naples and Prospero's brother Antonio, along with other survivors, are shipwrecked on the island with Prospero and his daughter Miranda. Prospero reveals to Miranda that his brother disposed him in a coup 12 years earlier. The King’s young son Ferdinand, thought to be dead, falls in love with Miranda. Their celebrations are cut short when Prospero confronts his brother and reveals his identity as the usurped Duke of Milan. The families are reunited and all conflict is resolved.
