In this one-hour workshop, Nora Toomey, Clinical Herbalist of True Bloom, will discuss the foundations of supporting the Immune System, dive deep into a handful of plants that prevent and treat colds and flus, and go over some easy herbal remedies for you to make at home including Fire Cider and Elderberry Syrup.
Nora Toomey is a Writer and Clinical Herbalist. She has an MFA in poetry from California College of the Arts, and a Clinical Herbalist Certification from the Berkeley Herbal Center. In 2020, Nora co-founded the plant and sound wellness company, Flower & Frequency while developing her private practice and herbal product line, True Bloom. She has enjoyed volunteering with the People’s Medicine Project, working at the Berkeley Herbal Center’s Community Clinic, writing for the Herbal Academy, and developing herbal programming for public libraries and senior centers in CT, NY, MA, and RI.
