Earn community service by participating in the Library's Horror Stories for Community Service Project!
Volunteers must be in Grades 6-12.
No registration required!
Volunteers’ stories will be displayed as they are submitted outside the Tweens and Teens Room throughout the Fall. All stories should be original work.
Volunteers must use the shapes provided by the Library to write their poem on and must cut out their shape before submitting their poem.
Volunteers can submit up to 5 stories.
Stories should be between 50 and 300 words and should be typed. Stories should be horror stories or otherwise Halloween-related.
Volunteers must return the volunteer form with their stories. Volunteer forms can be found outside the tweens and teens room. Volunteers do not have to submit all 5 stories at once and should do an additional form for stories they submit at a later date.
Stories will be accepted until Thursday, October 31, 2024. Please return to the Community Service Drop-Off Box on the metal cabinet in the Tweens and Teens Room.
Volunteers will receive 1 hour for every story they submit, at the discretion of the Tweens and Teens Department.
