Earn community service by painting ornaments for the Garden City Public Library’s Tweens and Teens Department’s Ornament Tree!

Each volunteer will receive 3 ornaments to decorate at home.

Supplies must be returned to the library.

These ornaments will be used to decorate our new ornament tree each month!

To participate, register online at (https://www.gardencitypl.org/calendar/) or call 516-742-8405 x5230 beginning November 12 at 10AM.

Completed ornaments must be submitted by November 21.

Registrants will be asked to pick up their ornaments at the library in order to participate in this community service program.

Volunteers must return 3 decorated ornaments and supplies by the due date in order to receive community service.

Volunteers will receive 2 hours for every 3 ornaments they submit, at the discretion of the Tweens and Teens Department.

This program has been funded by the Friends of the Garden City Public Library.

The Library may take photos, videos, and audio recordings at the Library and during Library events to use in its publicity materials and on its website and social media sites. The Library reserves the right to document its services and the public’s use of the Library building and grounds. Any individual that does not wish the Library to use a photograph or video of them or their child should inform a Library staff member prior to or while such photographs or videos are being taken.
