Rohini Ramanathan Poetry Reading

Come enjoy an afternoon of poetry readings by the widely published Dr. Rohini B. Ramanathan and with her guest poets on the theme of “Unity in Diversity,” portraying the parallels between humans and animals through both funny and serious writing. Pianist Carol Goodwin will set the mood for the reading.
Dr. Rohini B. Ramanathan, born and raised in India’s capital city, New Delhi, moved to the U.S. at age 18 after obtaining her B.A. Honors degree in English literature from Jesus and Mary College, New Delhi. Her writing has appeared in print in numerous publications including in the New York Times, Newsday, the Great South Bay Magazine, and some poetry anthologies.
A trained Indian Classical Music Vocalist since age nine, in 2007, along with pianist Carol Goodwin, she founded “The Alchemists,” a world fusion music and literary platform which has produced numerous funded projects.
