The Railroad That Ran Through Wayland with Rick Conard
Rick Conard will talk about the history of the railroad line that ran between Boston and Northampton through Wayland, with emphasis on Wayland.
Rick grew up in Wayland in the 1960s when he watched, rode, and took photos of trains running through Wayland. He became interested in the history of the B&M Central Mass. Branch when he researched and wrote a paper for a high school history class. This interest continued over the years as a member of the Boston & Maine Railroad Historical Society, several other railroad historical organizations, and as a member of the Town of Wayland Historical Commission.
